I am so sorry Pam - I am still in shock, I can't even imagine what you are going through losing this beautiful horse. I loved him & he wasn't even mine, I never got to meet him in person. I can't even imagine how much you really loved him.... What happened? Poor guy! I'll bet the Harris's are so sad! I am more sad than disappointed, but I was just bragging today about how I was really going to get to breed Emmy to him finally, my dream come true and that it will be the foal of my dreams.... You should feel so very lucky & blessed to ever gotten to be this great horse's owner and to now have babies from him to carry on your dreams! I also think, as you are, that you are so blessed to have this baby this year from Purdy & Mister, this was his ultimate gift to you! I sure hope you can keep him & stand him after showing him! I will wait until he's old enough & breed to him.... That's how much I looked forward to breeding to your boy, Mister! I just can't believe this.... And I am sure that you are still in shock! So know, Pam that you & Mister are in my thoughts & prayers and I am so sorry for your loss, our loss!
Take care - OK?
Cathy

Dear Pam,
There are no words to express how bad we feel for you right now, sorry is not enough, until someone goes through what you are, they don't know how bad it hurts to lose one of these beautiful animals. I never got to meet Mister in person, but having one of his daughters is such a privilege and testament to how great a horse he truly was. I wish we could have got to know one another under happier circumstances. Please take care and keep in touch. Ken and Kathy Wignes

Pam, I am so sorry to hear this horrible and very sad news. I have always loved your stallion and we had just decided last night that we were going to breed one of our mares with him this year. We had chosen a mare that was due in March as we knew you were letting him get past his surgery. I honestly cried when I saw your subject line... And I know you must be just devastated and heart broken. I am so sorry, although words at this time don't mean much. He was a great stallion and great sire.... And I do think you are right about your first born colt this year.... He is simply fabulous and I pray will be able to fill his daddy's shoes in this world and in your heart.
Please let me know what we can do on this end.... What on earth happened???? I thought he was out of the woods from his surgery. I am just so sorry Pam and I will sure keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this very hard time. Your boy has joined some of the great ones now in God's pastures.
God Bless you and your family.

Pam,
I am so shocked to hear your news, it was the first email I opened. Your boy was very possibly the most beautiful stallion I've ever seen, he's the only one who has stuck in my head the last few years, and I always wished I could breed to him, I could just never afford it. You were blessed to have such a great animal in your life, and I can't even express how sorry I am for your loss, I know it will be a hit to the industry as well. He was one of a kind, but now, it's his offspring's chance to shine. You are lucky to have your little colt this year, and just think of how much fun you will have showing him and promoting him. I wish you all the best, and again, I am so sorry for your loss Pam, he will definitely be missed by everyone. I've said it before, but again, if you ever need to talk, I'm still here. I know it hurts, I know the feeling, we lost four horses in the last couple of years and it never gets easier....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your stallion was my all time favorite halter stallion – such beauty and class – my heart goes out to you.
We live in Oregon and have watched An American Tribute grow up. I will never forget seeing him as a baby. He was the most handsome weanling colt I had ever seen and I knew when I saw him that he had to be by your Mister. I look forward to seeing his babies this year, among others from Mister, and watching your legacy live on.
So sorry for your loss, Erin Ricken

Dear Pam,
What can we say, except how sorry we are to hear your sad news. Tribute was truly a great one, and surely will be missed by all. Pam, you must know, he has produced for us, all the babies whom have been special in one way or another. And they too are all great ones.
We had people afraid to call us with your sad news, knowing how much we loved him too. Again, we are sad to hear your news.
Your new baby is awesome, reminds me of Victor with all that hanging muscle. Let's hope he's your new boy. We're thinking of you always, we too have walked in your shoes and it is a hard time.
Thinking of you always,
Danny and Pat Mann

Pam,
I heard through Cindy Harris that we lost Mister last night. I am so very sorry Pam. I hope you're doing OK... His legacy will certainly live on in the many outstanding babies he's already sired and may continue to sire. I just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers. He will certainly be missed. Mister will be greatly missed by the APHA community. It was an honor to help you promote him these past few years. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Take care,
Cristin

Dear Pam,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We should have had a rebreed to him as we lost mare and foal last year. She was a Sheiks Whim daughter and we miss her very much. We will keep you in our thoughts. It does look as though Mister's legacy will live on in his beautiful foals. He will be remembered for many years to come, by all of us who appreciate fine horses.
Regards,
Betty Anne Vivian
